Western herbal medicine is a holistic approach that uses plants to promote health and support various ailments. Within my practice I use a few different forms of herbal medicine to make individualised prescriptions. Herbal tinctures are concentrated liquid extracts made from herbs, typically using alcohol or glycerin, allowing for easy absorption and potent effects. Herbal teas are infusions made by steeping dried herbs in hot water, offering a soothing way to benefit from the medicinal properties of plants. Herbal capsules contain powdered herbs encapsulated for convenient consumption, providing an alternative for those who prefer not to drink teas or use tinctures.

New patients are required to book an initial consultation, which lasts 90 minutes, where we gather comprehensive information about your medical history, daily nutrition, and current lifestyle routines. This thorough approach allows us to obtain a clear picture of your overall health and tailor our recommendations to meet your individual needs. Your well-being is our priority, and we believe that understanding your unique background is essential for effective support. Following this research will be carried out to ascertain the root causes of your health imbalances. A herbal prescription may then be dispensed along with nutritional advice and lifestyle ideas. Follow up appointments are usually booked 4 weeks later and last 30 to 45 minutes to assess progress. Every individual is different and therefore my healthcare approach is different to each patient. Patient's often leave the initial consultation feeling more positive and with a greater connection to their own health.

My Story

Growing up in the countryside within a large farming family nurtured my lifelong fascination with flora, leading me to a fulfilling career in floristry. I later gained a first-class Batchelor of Science degree in herbal medicine, which deepened my interest in the positive benefits nature can have on our health and the medicinal constituents found within plants. I have always dreamt of working in medicine and in my practice I am dedicated to promoting preventative medicine, helping individuals connect with their health, and enabling them to recognise imbalances early.

As well as being a medical herbalist and award winning florist I am an experienced workshop leader, speaker and health practitioner, I strive to make herbal medicine a viable health option for all individuals.
